So we’re going to try something different! As much as I LOVE my graphics, it doesn’t let me write everything I feel I need to write in a book review. I want to just start writing everything out and not worry about the asthetic, but more about the content!

Summary:
Louisa Clark arrives in New York ready to start a new life, confident that she can embrace this new adventure and keep her relationship with Ambulance Sam alive across several thousand miles. She steps into the world of the superrich, working for Leonard Gopnik and his much younger second wife, Agnes. Lou is determined to get the most out of the experience and throws herself into her new job and New York life.

As she begins to mix in New York high society, Lou meets Joshua Ryan, a man who brings with him a whisper of her past. Before long, Lou finds herself torn between Fifth Avenue where she works and the treasure-filled vintage clothing store where she actually feels at home. And when matters come to a head, she has to ask herself: Who is Louisa Clark? And how do you find the courage to follow your heart—wherever that may lead?

Review:
Oh, this book… If you don’t have JoJo Moyes on your radar, I definitely recommend starting with this series. Just a reminder, I CRIED MY EYES out after book 1. It's still the best book I’ve read all year.

Where do you go when you’re stuck? A job offer in another country, from an old friend… Maybe it’s just what Louisa needs. Maybe getting away from all the constant reminders of Will will be good for her. A fresh start, in a sense. Louisa makes the classic mistake of treating her employers like friends, thinking they will go to bat for her. THINK AGAIN! So of course the story can’t end here, and Louisa has befriended several others in the building - Mrs. DeWitt, and Ashok & Meena, which play important roles in this story. This really gives Louisa time to think about her life, and get back to figuring out who she is.

The thing I love the most about Louisa is how she’s always beat the drum to her own tune. Outrageous outfits, fun accessories, and the fact that she is comfortable in her own skin, even if others tell her to change or be more professional. Being someone who is known to go with bright bold looks, cosmetics, and accessories, I love this about Louisa. The fact that Mrs. DeWitt also embraced this in Louisa, just made my heart so happy.

I really wasn’t sure how this book would pan out. I really didn’t think there could be more after book 1. Book 2 was decent. Book 3 was WELL worth it. Jojo Moyes really knows how to pull at your emotions and keep you reading, even when you think the story is over. Bravo to JoJo Moyes on this incredible trilogy - highly recommend!

The key was making sure that anyone you allowed to walk beside you didn’t get to decide which you were, and pin you down like a butterfly in a case. The key was to know that you could always somehow find a way to reinvent yourself again.
