NOTE: I am an ARC reader/reviewer for this author.

So this is my 3rd book ARC’ed for the series, and each one gets better and better (I still need to go back and read the first 3). I haven’t actually laughed out loud in a while while reading a book, but this book had the goods! I literally laughed at the banter between these two!

Bex moves into Sweetkiss Creek, and she just happens to be living next to the grumpiest neighbor ever. Austin wasn’t always like this, but since his accident left him out of work as a professional football player, he’s grumpy and mad at the world. All he needs to do is get better, keep up his physical therapy, and get back to work. NOTHING ELSE can come between him and work, he has no time for that.

But Bex is really trying to be a good neighbor. She brings Austin his mail, keeps her part of her property clean (She rents from Austin), and even offers to help him with his rental properties he owns with his brother (Austin is a bit behind in checking with this tenants, because, well, injury, and no time to do anything accept get better and get back on the road with his team).

Bex really wants to trim back one of the hedges on their ajoined property, but Austin is dead set against it. Bex is more the “kill them with kindess” type and Austin is more the “let’s go to war” kind. How will they figure it out?

From a USPS driver dressing up in costumes, a random German Shephard showing up, and Austin freelancing as a high school football coach to pass the time, this is a perfect book for a quick read to boost your mood and your reading challenge!
